Yet it is falsely painted as fundamentally illegitimate and guilty of repeated illegality and breaches of international norms. Defenders of Israel, including its own government, seldom push back publicly against this. False assertions by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office about Israel’s illegal settlements or the “Occupied Palestinian Territories” are met with silence. (more…)

A necessary lesson

The Old City of Jerusalem and east Jerusalem, where Britain’s Prince William is set to visit in the coming days are about as much a part of the Palestinian Authority as India is still the British Raj. But this is no matter to the Brits, who continue to cling to the false claim that east Jerusalem is “occupied territory.” The United Kingdom continues to deny not only reality and Israel’s historic and religious right to Jerusalem in its entirety, but the fact that Jerusalem has had a majority Jewish population for the past 150 years. Expert: Palestine Fails International Law Test For Statehood At ICC

By Yonah Jeremy Bob.. Experts need to continue to press back on the International Criminal Court’s recognition of Palestine as a state, because “there is still time and room to counter this,” international law scholar Andrew Tucker told The Jerusalem Post.

Tucker and Matthijs De Blois of The Hague Initiative for International Cooperation held a press conference along with NGO Monitor and its legal expert, Anne Herzberg, on Thursday night (June 7, 2018) to discuss their book Israel on Trial: The Role of the UN and the EU in Lawfare and the Delegitimization of Israel, which advocates for Israeli positions on a range of international law issues, including dropping the ICC war crimes probe of Israelis. [Photo top right: International criminal court logo].  (more…)

Ninety-nine years ago, on 2nd November 1917, the British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour wrote a letter to Baron Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, conveying the content of the decision of the British War Cabinet three days earlier. The decision was as follows:

“His Majesty’s Government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.” (more…)

The first will be a partial restoration and the second will be total by the mighty hand of God. We have seen the first stage come to pass in the modern State of Israel. It is a great proof that God is faithful to all His promises and that the second will be fulfilled at the return of Christ. It should be a great sign of hope for all Christians. (more…)
