Ending the War in Syria Could Be a Disaster for Europe

editor 21 September 2017

By Mordechai Kedar.. Blinded by the smokescreen of the war against ISIS, the world failed to notice that Tehran was taking over considerable parts of Syria — particularly in the sparsely populated center and east of the country. This Iranian takeover is being implemented by Shiite, Iraqi, Afghani and Iranian militias — but primarily by Lebanese Hezbollah. That group has been given a free hand to do whatever its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, pleases in western Syria, which is the more fertile part of the country and home to most of the population. (more…)

The Palestinians’ “Creativity for Hate”

editor 8 September 2017

By Khaled Abu Toameh.. The angry reactions to the joint Palestinian-Israeli summer camp in the US should be seen in the context of the Palestinians’ strong opposition to all forms of “normalization” with Israel. Most comments posted by Palestinians and other Arabs in response to the joint Palestinian-Israeli camp vilify the Palestinian girls and their families. The postings brand them as traitors, sluts, filthy people who are not ashamed to be seen in the company of Israeli girls. Then there is the barrage of abuse that is not fit for print. (more…)

The Slaughter Of The Salomon Family

editor 29 August 2017

By Melanie Phillips.. So now the non-stop Palestinian Arab incitement against Israel has resulted in yet more Palestinian barbarism. The Salomon family had gathered for a Friday night (July 21, 2017) Shabbat dinner, celebrating the birth of a grandchild, in their home in the Israeli settlement of Halamish. A 19 year-old Palestinian burst in armed with a large knife and began stabbing members of the family. (more…)

After Temple Mount ‘Victory,’ Arabs Set Sights on Western Wall

editor 17 August 2017

By Andrew Friedman.. Palestinians and Arab MKs declared ‘victory’ Tuesday (July 25, 2017) as Israel reversed security measures at the Temple Mount, and said their struggle for control over the compound also extends to the Western Wall. MK Taleb Abu Arar (Joint List) stressed that “Jews have no rights at al-Aqsa Mosque,” and added that Muslims’ fight against Israel would continue, regardless of the cabinet decision to remove metal detectors from the entrances to the Temple Mount compound. Report: Arab States Offer Israel Improved Ties in Exchange for Peace Concessions

editor 18 May 2017

By JPost.com Staff.. Israel would be expected to freeze settlement construction as part of steps toward normalizing ties. Various Arab Gulf nations are reportedly prepared to improve ties with Israel if Jerusalem takes what they deem as significant efforts to relaunch the stagnate peace process with the Palestinians, The Wall Street Journal on Monday (May 15, 2017) cited sources close to the matter as saying. As part of the normalization process, the Gulf states would reportedly be willing to set up telecommunication lines between the countries, allow for Israeli businesses to trade with their Arab counterparts and allow for Israeli planes to fly over their airspace. Arab-Israeli Peace Agreements

editor 12 April 2017

By Eli E.Hertz.. Between 1993 and 2001, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA) signed six agreements with Israel and conducted countless meetings and summits to bring about a lasting peace between them. Each Israeli concession was met with Palestinian non-compliance and escalating violence. Six times, Palestinians failed to honor their commitments and increased their anti-Israeli aggressions. Finally, they broke every promise they made and began an allout guerrilla war against Israel and its citizens. (more…)

The lessons of the Arab summit

editor 10 April 2017

By Zalman Shoval.. During the 28th Arab League summit in Jordan that ended over the weekend (March 29, 2017), host King Abdullah of Jordan said that there would be no regional stability without solving the Palestinian issue, defining Israel as an obstacle to peace. While the king probably knows better than many others what the real reasons for regional instability are, mostly as they affect his own country, at the end of the day the “Arab League” is not particularly significant, nor does it wield executive authority, for better or worse. A very big deal to solve a very big problem

editor 3 March 2017

By Einat Wilf and Adi Schwartz.. President Donald Trump, as expressed in the press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, now aspires in the Middle East to “a much bigger deal”, “a much more important deal”, one that “would take in many, many countries” and “would cover a very large territory.” This kind of regional deal between the Arab world – and perhaps, the entire Muslim world – and the Jewish State of Israel was always the only deal to be had: a very big deal to solve a very big problem. The Real Situation of Arab Citizens of Israel

editor 21 January 2017

By Robert Cherry.. The liberal press has two staples in its coverage of Israeli politics. It consistently stresses that the major obstacle to settling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the behavior of anti-Arab right-wing politicians, led by Naftali Bennett, who promote more Jewish settlements in the West Bank. We are also told incessantly that Jewish anti-Arab attitudes, nourished by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rhetoric, threaten the civil rights of and the opportunities available to Israel’s Arab citizens. Why is Europe turning a blind eye to Islamic occupation?

editor 1 December 2016

By Zvi Mazel.. National and religious minorities in the Arab region have not been given independence or autonomy; They are still trying to overthrow their Arab-Muslim occupiers. In a world beset by terrorism and humanitarian disasters, the international community remains fixated on the State of Israel. The one and only state of the Jewish people, back in their historical homeland, is a beacon of democracy in the Muslim-Arab sphere devoid of human rights, left behind by social and economic progress and subject to frequent bouts of bloody unrest. Yet Israel is singled out, again and again, for condemnation. The European Union, self-appointed human rights watchdog, is at the forefront of the attacks. This is a puzzling phenomenon. (more…)
